Banks (love it... something new every time I read it), House of Suns, by Alistair Reynolds (vastly better than Pushing Ice), Firstborn, by Arthur C. Clarke & Stephen Baxter (give me back my time, you hack... this book is hard SF pulp), Pushing Ice, by Alistair Reynolds, Elephantasm, by Tanith Lee, Matter, by Iain M. Banks (had to get it!), The Prefect, by Alistair Reynolds, assorted books about teenagers / growing up etc., Sunstorm, by Arthur C. Clarke & Stephen Baxter, Time's Eye, by Arthur C. Clarke & Stephen Baxter, Harry Potter & the Half-Blood Prince, Harry Potter & the Order of the Phoenix, Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows (ooh how exciting), Raising Real People by Andrew Fuller, The Big Bang by Simon Singh, The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins.
Watching: Game of Thrones, True Blood, otherwise have been TV phobes for yages. Procrastinating watching the end of BSG.
Hanging out for: George RR Martin's next novel, before he dies on us... only a couple of weeks to go!

I thought is was also a bit sinister. It suggests that humans aren't really the rapacious environmental vandals that we are. That we change our poor behavior when made aware of it. It was worse than utter crap.
